The Bruce Fox Story

Bruce Fox was a young artist, sculptor, and visionary in 1938 when, upon returning to the United States after an adventure through Central America, he founded the company which still bears his name as the outlet for his artistic energies.

While in Panama, Fox had learned the trade of metalsmithing in the native tradition, and was eager to bring his “newfound” knowledge and skill to the burgeoning, post-Depression American market. Working with perhaps the most high-tech material of the era--aluminum--fox began creating works of art renown and sought after more than 60 years later. Over the next two decades, Fox’s reputation for artistic and manufacturing quality was firmly entrenched.

As the appeal of aluminum and sculpted copper decorative pieces waned in an era of changing tastes, Fox and his company were found themselves at a crossroads. A further tribute to the artist’s entrepreneurial spirit, Fox sought the answers beyond the consumer market. He realized large corporations and organizations were in need of creative recognition products with a look of austerity and permanence. Thus, the focus and course of the company was changed, and Bruce Fox, Inc.--founded on its artistic cornerstone--began designing and manufacturing custom designed award plaques and sculptures for the corporate world.

Today, the Bruce Fox, Inc. family of companies is comprised of over 150 skilled craftspeople devoted exclusively to the corporate recognition cause. From concept design through individual presentation delivery, Bruce Fox, Inc. is the country’s only full service recognition company.

The future holds in store many advances as our company continues to grow. Our marketing strategies and capabilities within a wide range of niche markets has accentuated our administrative responsibilities. Though our roots are not forgotten in the shadow of our entrepreneurial founder, our capabilities are employed in a one-to-one, consultative marketing, administrative and manufacturing environment led by a team of skilled professionals.
